Brief Introduction To Bearing Bush Materials

The bearing bush is the part directly in contact with the shaft on the bearing, which bears the load and has relative motion with the shaft.

In order to reduce friction and wear, various requirements are put forward for bearing bush materials. In addition to small friction coefficient and wear resistance between friction pairs, the following points shall be met:

1. It shall have sufficient compressive strength and fatigue strength a style = “white-space: normal” href=“ http://www.bearing123.com/ “> INA Bearing and impact resistance. Bearing alloy thickness is (0.013-0.13) mm.

2. Good adhesion resistance. When the load is large, the rotating speed is high, the bearing clearance is too small, the surface finish is not high, and the lubrication is poor, pay attention to carefully select the matching of materials to prevent the adhesion, wear and gluing of friction pairs.

3. Have adaptability and the ability to accommodate foreign matters. The material with low hardness, good plasticity and low elastic NSK bearing coefficient has good adaptability and the ability to accommodate foreign matters.

4. Good corrosion resistance, low price and sufficient source. The colloidal deposit formed by oxidation will corrode the bearing bush material.

Brief Introduction To Bearing Bush Materials
The commonly used materials of bearing bush and bearing liner are divided into metal materials and non-metallic materials.
Metallic materials
1. Cast iron

Ordinary gray cast iron, wear-resistant cast iron, nodular cast iron, suitable for low speed, light load, or open drive bearings

Mechanism: the flake or spherical graphite component in the material covers the surface to form a lubricating graphite layer.

2. Bearing alloy

Zchsnsb10-6 has good corrosion resistance, strong gluing resistance, firm combination with steel back and high price. It is suitable for high-speed and heavy load, such as locomotives and vehicles.

Zchpbsb16-16-2 has poor adhesion resistance, poor thermal expansion and brittleness, and is suitable for medium speed and medium load. This Babbitt alloy has good wear resistance, anti gluing and high thermal conductivity. It is suitable for bearing material.

3. Bronze

Zcupb30 is attached to the inner surface of steel fag bearing back bearing bush by casting or sintering, with excellent adhesion resistance

Zcusn10-l has good antifriction and wear resistance, good bearing material, high speed and heavy load

This kind of material has higher hardness and strength than Babbitt alloy, corrosion resistance, but poor running in performance. The matched journal requires higher hardness and finish, which is suitable for medium speed and heavy load.

4. Aluminum alloy – bimetal

Low tin aluminum alloy, containing sn0 5%

High tin aluminum alloy, containing SN20%, for locomotive diesel engine

This kind of material has high strength, corrosion resistance and good thermal conductivity.

5. Ceramic metal

Iron powder + graphite powder or copper powder + graphite powder → press forming → sintering to form pore structure, with pores accounting for 15 ~ 35% → oil soaking → oil bearing. Due to its poor toughness, this bearing bush is only suitable for stable load and medium and small speed, and is used in occasions with poor lubrication conditions.

Non metallic materials

It is easy to run in, the wear debris is soft, the affinity with the journal is small, and the possibility of gluing is small

1. Plastics:

phenolic plastics, polyacylaldehyde (nylon), polytetrafluoroethylene

It has high compressive strength, adhesion resistance and NTN bearing wear resistance, good corrosion resistance, low friction coefficient, and is increasingly widely used, but its thermal conductivity is poor, so it is lubricated with water, such as roller press and hydraulic press

2. Rubber

It is made of hardened rubber. It is used for lubrication with water when the shaft is vibrating, inclined and dirty.
