FYH Bearing
FYH is the oldest and largest manufacturer of seated ball bearing units in Japan. Production began in 1950 for the Japanese market. FYH has become the world’s leading manufacturer of installation units. FYH designed bearing with seat can withstand the harshest working conditions that often encounter high-speed rotation and heavy loads. FYH produces approximately 700 different types of bearings and 300 types of bearing seats in its huge product line. Produce and supply thousands of different installation units and plug-in combinations for the global market to meet a wide range of applications and industries.

Product Description of FYH Bearing
- FYH Needle roller bearings have a large carrying capacity and are suitable for supporting structures with limited installation dimensions.
- The surface of the journal is hardened as the rolling surface, and the bearing is fitted into the seat hole with a press fit, and there is no need for it to be axially positioned.
- The bearing should be injected with an appropriate amount of grease before installation.
- Usually, no relubrication is required after assembly (BK type bearings are used in the support of the journal without the protruding end, the end face is closed for sealing, and can withstand small axial movement.)

- FYH Bearings with matching shaft and housing
- Determining the proper shaft and bearing seat fit is essential to ensure long bearing life. The amount of fit or interference that exists between mating parts (such as shafts and bearing holes) can be divided into three categories: loose (sliding), transition and compression (tightening).
- For more information about recommended shaft and housing fits, please download an excerpt from this catalog.
- Loose fit is easy to install, but too loose fit may cause the bearing ring to slide or creep on the shaft or bearing seat
- Creep can cause excessive wear or vibration, and in the worst case can cause ring fracture or bearing seizure.
- Slight press-fitting usually helps prevent creep, but excessive press-fitting will eliminate internal clearances in the bearing and cause an increase in operating temperature, leading to early failure.
- Press fit will naturally make the installation of the bearing more difficult and easy to damage, but as long as you are careful, most problems can be avoided.
- The type of fit required varies based on many factors, such as load, operating temperature, bearing type, and shaft or housing material. A good rule of thumb for most applications is to use press fits on rotating parts.
That is, shaft or inner ring rotating applications (such as electric motors) will use a press fit on the shaft and a loose fit on the housing. Bearing seat or outer ring rotating applications (such as wheel hubs) will use the opposite approach: loose fit on the shaft and press fit on the bearing seat. This will greatly reduce the chance of creep or loosening during operation.
You need to consider the following questions:What are the bearing size and type? Larger bearings can use larger interference fits than smaller bearings, and ball bearings require a different fit than tapered roller bearings.
Does the application rotate on the inner ring or the outer ring? Generally, press fit on rotating parts is the best type of fit.
What are the load directions and conditions? Heavier loads will require tighter coordination.
What material are the shaft and housing? Aluminum housing will expand with temperature and usually requires a tighter fit than steel or cast iron
Drawn cup needle roller bearings
- Drawn cup needle roller bearings are needle roller bearings with a thin drawn cup outer ring.
Features: The section height is very low and the load bearing capacity is high. - Place: It is mainly used for bearing configuration with compact structure and low price, and the inner hole of the bearing box cannot be used as the raceway of the needle roller cage assembly. Bearings and bearing housings must be installed with an interference fit.
- Drawn cup needle roller bearings generally do not have an inner ring.
Solid Ring Needle Roller Bearings
- Composition: One or two ferrules and a needle roller set with a cage.
Classification: It can be divided into bearings with inner ring or without inner ring.
Features: Solid ferrule needle roller bearings have smaller volume and higher load capacity. - Applicable places: Solid ferrule needle roller bearings can meet the requirements of light weight, small space occupation and high transmission power.
Combined Needle Roller Bearings
- Combination: Needle roller bearing is a bearing unit composed of radial needle roller bearing and thrust bearing components.
- Features: compact structure, small volume, high rotation accuracy, can bear a certain axial load while bearing a high radial load. The product structure is diverse, adaptable and easy to install.
- Applications: It is used in various mechanical equipment such as machine tools, metallurgical machinery, textile machinery and printing machinery, and can make the mechanical system design very compact and dexterous.

FAQ
Due to their internal design, ball bearings cannot usually be disassembled down to the component level; therefore, they cannot usually be refurbished.
Solid base shells are manufactured without cavities and fillers; they are stronger than hollow bases, and there are no traps for bacteria and fungi to grow. In the thermoplastic shell, the sturdy base will not break under steam or high-pressure washing. The hollow base saves material and weight to reduce costs. Some people use epoxy resin to backfill the hollow base to eliminate the trap of bacteria breeding, but this will not increase the strength, will cause the installation surface to be uneven, and water will seep between the shell and the filling material, causing cracking.
Use particularly thermally stable bearing rings, larger internal clearance (C4), specially selected lubricants that will not decompose at high temperatures, and zinc anodized flinger. There are two basic versions of our high temperature bearings. The suffix “C4HR5” represents the bearing that can withstand 400°F, and the suffix “C4HR23” represents the bearing that can withstand 450°F.
For critical applications such as pulp and paper processing, printing and packaging, material tearing can cause expensive downtime due to excessive torque and vibration.
The two biggest factors affecting the starting and running torque of the bearing are the seal design and lubricant selection. The shaft and bearing seat fit, component accuracy and surface finish, and retainer design also have some influence.
In higher speed applications, non-contact sealing devices are usually required to minimize operating torque and heat generation, so oil baffle rings and secondary sealing devices are usually required. Flowing oil lubrication systems are usually the best solution.
After proper installation, most seated bearings only need to be relubricated regularly with a small amount of grease and checked to ensure that they operate at low temperatures, quietness, and sufficient accuracy.
This depends on many factors, such as the application’s load conditions, operating speed, duty cycle, temperature, and operating environment. The technical information section of this website provides some basic information. Our engineers can help you determine more specific theoretical life calculations.
When noise and/or operating temperature increase or operating accuracy decreases, bearings should be replaced.
Lubricant of choice
Lubrication joint type or location
Sealing materials and design options
Dimensions, suitable for housing or insert
Fixing screw options
Paint the shell in any color
Too little or too much lubricant
Incorrect lubricant type
Poor bearing installation
Improper internal clearance
Excessive load and/or speed
Extreme temperature
Pollution
Movement between mounting surfaces
The noise emitted by the bearing may be caused by a combination of one or more factors, such as insufficient working clearance, excessive working clearance, changes in working clearance due to temperature, damage to the contact area, contamination, inappropriate lubricants or The raceway is damaged.
Lubricants have five basic functions for bearings:
Reduce friction
Reduce wear
Reduce temperature rise
Minimize corrosion
Seal contaminants
We do not recommend mixing grease. Mixing incompatible greases will cause the mixture to harden, preventing it from releasing any oil. Mixing incompatible greases can also soften the mixture, which releases all the oil. In either case, the mixture will not be able to properly lubricate the bearing. We strongly recommend using the same type of grease originally provided with the bearing.
