When using the sleeve for press fitting, it should be noted that one end of the sleeve must be placed on the end face of the outer ring, not on the inclined raceway surface.
Tapered roller bearings are mostly installed and used in pairs. In the installation, we should focus on three aspects: selection of installation coordination; Adjust the axial clearance; Carry out commissioning and temperature detection.
Interference fit should not be adopted between the outer ring of tapered roller bearing and the shell hole of bearing seat, and the fit between the inner ring and journal should not be too tight. It is required that the nut should be able to produce more flexible axial displacement during installation and adjustment.
Because if the tapered roller bearing adopts interference fit, it is easy to change the contact angle of the bearing, resulting in uneven load distribution and high temperature rise. Therefore, for the installation and coordination of the inner and outer rings of this kind of bearing with the journal and housing hole of the bearing seat, it is generally better to push the bearing just into the journal and housing hole with both hands and thumbs.
The installation axial clearance of tapered roller bearing can be adjusted by adjusting nut, adjusting gasket on journal and thread in bearing seat hole, or by preloading spring. The size of axial clearance is related to the arrangement of bearing installation, the distance between bearings and the materials of shaft and bearing seat, which can be determined according to the working conditions.
For tapered roller bearings with high load and high speed, when adjusting the clearance, the influence of temperature rise on axial clearance must be considered, and the reduction of clearance caused by temperature rise must be estimated, that is, the axial clearance should be adjusted appropriately. Bearings with low speed and bearing vibration shall be installed without clearance or preload.
Its purpose is to make the roller and raceway of tapered roller bearing have good contact, the load is evenly distributed, and prevent the roller and raceway from being damaged by vibration and impact. After adjustment, the axial clearance shall be checked with a dial indicator.
The method is to fix the dial indicator on the machine body or bearing seat, make the contact of the dial indicator against the smooth surface of the shaft, push the shaft left and right along the axial direction, and the swing of the dial indicator is the axial clearance value.
In order to make the roller of tapered roller bearing in good contact with the raceway and obtain appropriate axial clearance, test run and temperature detection shall be carried out after the installation of tapered roller bearing and each adjustment of clearance.
The method is to run at low speed for 2-8 minutes, then test run at medium speed for 2 hours, and then lift it to high speed step by step. The speed test run of each stage shall not be less than 30 minutes, the temperature rise rate shall not exceed 5 ℃ per hour, and the stable temperature shall not exceed 70 ℃.
In addition, during the installation and clearance adjustment of tapered roller bearing, it should also be noted that the tapered roller must be in good contact with the large flange of the inner ring.
