Cam followers (bolt type rollers) are designed to run on all types of tracks and are used in cam drives, conveyor systems, etc. They are based on needle roller bearings or cylindrical roller bearings. They do not have an inner ring, but instead have a solid threaded stud (pin).

Structure and Features of KRV62PP 246280 mm Cam Follower Needle Roller Bearing

The cam follower bearing is a compact, highly rigid bearing with a shaft. It contains needle rollers and is used as a cam mechanism or as a guide roller for linear movements. As its outer ring rotates while maintaining contact with the mating surface, it is designed with thick walls to withstand shock loads.
The inner outer ring contains needle rollers and precision cages. This prevents skewing of the product and achieves excellent rotational performance. As a result, the product can easily withstand high rotational speeds.
The outer ring is available in spherical or cylindrical shapes. The spherical outer ring quickly absorbs the axial deformation of the cam follower during installation and helps to reduce some of the load.
Long service life. The crowned outer ring running surface is beneficial for applications where the outer ring may tilt relative to the track or where edge stresses need to be minimised.
Easy to install. The cam follower’s threaded solid studs (pins) can be quickly and easily attached to the appropriate machine components by means of hexagonal nuts.
