  • 2、 Three principles for prolonging the use of IKO bearings
  • A. Choose IKO bearing model with high load capacity
  • When selecting bearings, the price of bearings should be taken into account, or rolling bearings with higher load capacity but more expensive should be used, or ordinary bearings should be used to prolong their service life. 
  • Bearings with high load capacity are adopted, such as cylindrical roller bearing with convexity, spherical roller bearing with symmetrical roller, reinforced tapered roller and ball type, ball with corrected ball groove bus, or IKO bearing of 70000cd series is used to replace deep groove (single row centripetal) ball.

  • B. Select the appropriate bearing size
  • In order to select the appropriate size, the working load, speed and operating temperature of rolling bearing must be accurately calculated or verified. Load has a great impact on service life, so although it is difficult to measure the load, it should be measured as accurately as possible.

  • If the calculated or measured load is too large, the expected fatigue life of IKO bearing must be reduced by a greater margin, which must be remedied. If the installation position allows, the bearing products with a larger size can be selected;

  • C. Select appropriate materials
  • When selecting the material of rolling bearing, its price should also be taken into account. When vacuum smelting or electroslag remelting steel has to be used, it should be noted that the lubrication conditions must be improved in order to double the expected fatigue life.

  • High temperature is often used to express an abnormal situation. High temperature also hinders the lubricating agent of IKO bearing. Sometimes bearing overheating can be attributed to the lubricating agent of the bearing. 
  • If the oil-free bearing is kept at a temperature of more than 125 ℃ for a long time, the service life of the bearing can be reduced. The end of the driving high-temperature bearing is covered by: 
  • insufficient lubricating oil or not for yourself, lubricating oil, lubricating agent. It includes impurities, excessive load, bearing ring damage, insufficient gap, oil seal initiation, high friction of bearing seat, etc.
  • Because this continuous monitoring and detection of IKO bearing temperature is indispensable, whether measuring the bearing itself or other tight parts. If the operating conditions remain unchanged, no matter what temperature change, it can express that the fault has occurred.
  • The regular measurement of IKO bearing temperature can be made by means of thermometer. For example, according to the original digital thermometer, the bearing temperature can be measured very accurately and revealed in the unit of ℃ or Fahrenheit.
  •  The tight oil-free bearing means that when it is damaged, it will lead to the shutdown of the facility, because this kind of bearing should be equipped with a temperature probe observer. Under normal circumstances, the bearing will have a natural temperature rise after just lubricating oil or re lubricating oil, and it will continue for one to two days.
