Selection Of Bearing Type

When selecting the type of bearing, it is very important to fully master the service conditions of the bearing. The following table lists the main analysis items:

 

Selection method

1) The bearing type whose bearing installation space can be accommodated in the bearing installation space. Because the rigidity and strength of the shaft are paid attention to when designing the shaft system, the shaft diameter, that is, the inner diameter of the bearing, is generally determined first. However, there are many size series and types of rolling bearings, and the appropriate bearing type should be selected from them.

2) Load the size, direction and nature of bearing load [the load capacity of the bearing is expressed by the basic rated load, and its value is contained in the bearing size table] the bearing load is rich in changes, such as the size of the load, whether there is only radial load, whether the axial load is unidirectional or bidirectional, the degree of vibration or impact, etc. After considering these factors, choose the appropriate bearing type. Generally speaking, the radial load capacity of bearings with the same inner diameter increases in the following order: deep groove ball bearing < angular contact ball bearing < cylindrical roller bearing < tapered roller bearing < self-aligning roller bearing

3) The bearing type whose speed can adapt to the mechanical speed [the limit value benchmark of bearing speed is expressed by the limit speed, and its value is contained in the bearing size table] the limit speed of bearing is not only taken from the bearing type, but also limited to the bearing size, cage type, accuracy grade, load conditions and lubrication method. Therefore, these factors must be considered in the selection. 4) The rotation

Accuracy is the type of bearing with the required rotation accuracy [the dimensional accuracy and rotation accuracy of the bearing have been standardized by GB according to the bearing type] the machine tool spindle, gas turbine and control machine require high rotation accuracy, high speed and low friction respectively. If the relative inclination between the inner ring and the outer ring is too large, the bearing will be damaged due to internal load. Therefore, the type of bearing that can withstand this inclination should be selected. Generally speaking, the allowable inclination angle (or centering angle) increases in the following order: cylindrical roller bearing, tapered roller bearing, deep groove ball bearing (angular contact ball bearing) and centering roller (ball) bearing

 

7) The installation and disassembly frequency and methods of regular inspection of installation and disassembly. When the installation and disassembly are frequent, it is more convenient to use cylindrical roller bearing, needle roller bearing and tapered roller bearing with separable inner ring and outer ring. Tapered hole self-aligning ball bearings and tapered hole self-aligning roller bearings can be easily assembled and disassembled by using fasteners or withdrawal sleeves.

The type of machinery selected for bearing structure is different, the service conditions of bearings will be different, and the performance requirements will be different. However, generally speaking, there are no less than two bearings used on one shaft. Moreover, in order to facilitate axial positioning, most of them use one bearing as a fixed end bearing and the rest as a free end bearing. The following table lists the selection of fixed end and free end bearing structures. The bearing type applicable to the content fixed end bearing is used for axial positioning and fixation of the bearing. The bearing that can bear both radial and axial loads is selected to bear two-way axial load. During installation, the corresponding strength needs to be considered according to the size of axial load.
