SKF Deep groove ball bearings types are available in single row and double row. Deep groove ball structures are also divided into sealed and open structures.
Open refers to bearings without a seal structure, and sealed deep groove balls are divided into dustproof seals (iron cover seals and rubber cover seals) and oil-proof seals.
Dustproof seal cover material for steel plate stamping, only play a simple prevent dust into the bearing raceway. The oil-proof type is contact oil seal, which can effectively stop the grease inside the bearing from spilling out.

Precautions of SKF Deep Groove Ball Bearings

Bearings with dust caps or seals on both sides are maintenance-free products with lifetime lubrication. These bearings cannot be cleaned and the temperature should not exceed 80 degrees Celsius.

Single row deep groove ball bearings

SKF Single row deep groove ball bearings, is the most representative structure of rolling bearing, widely used. In addition to bearing radial load, it can also bear axial load in two directions.

Generally use steel plate stamping cage. Mainly applicable cage: steel plate stamping cage (waveform, crown-shaped … single row; S-shaped … double row); copper alloy or phenolic resin cutting cage, synthetic resin forming cage.

Double row deep groove ball bearings

The design of double row deep groove ball bearings is basically the same as single row deep groove ball bearings. In addition to bearing radial loads, double row deep groove ball bearings can also bear axial loads acting in both directions.
The standard double-row deep groove ball bearings are 4200A, 4300A type
Alignment error
Double row deep groove ball bearings have alignment errors between the inner and outer rings, will lead to additional load. This increases the load on the steel ball and cage and shortens the working life of the bearing. Therefore, the allowable angular error is only 2 arc minutes. Any greater angular error will lead to an increase in noise.
Cage
Double row deep groove ball bearings are equipped with two glass fiber reinforced nylon 66 cages. Deep groove ball bearings fitted with nylon cages can operate at temperatures up to 120°C.
The characteristics of the cages are not affected by the lubricants used for general rolling bearings, except for certain synthetic oils or synthetic oil-based greases and lubricants containing a large number of extreme pressure additives in high temperature applications.
