  1. Timken bearings are very sensitive to vibration damage, such as spalling, indentation, corrosion, cracks and wear are reflected in the vibration measurement. The normal temperature varies with the heat capacity of the machine, the amount of heat dissipated, the speed and the load. If the lubrication and mounting area is suitable, the temperature can rise sharply and abnormally high temperatures can occur. In this case operation must be stopped and the necessary precautions taken.
  3. A thermal sensor monitors the operating temperature at all times and automatically alerts or stops the machine when the temperature exceeds the specified value, preventing accidents with burning shafts. High temperatures often indicate that it is in an abnormal state. High temperatures are also harmful to lubricants. Sometimes flange bearing overheating can be attributed to the lubricant. If the temperature exceeds 125°C for a long time, the service life is reduced.
  4. Causes of high temperatures include insufficient or excessive lubrication and lubricants. Containing impurities, excessive load, ring damage, insufficient clearance, high friction caused by oil seals, etc.

  • Raceway surfaces and rolling elements are rusted and scratched. There are obvious indentations and indentations on the rolling surfaces and rolling elements.
  • There is creep on the inner diameter face of the inner ring or the outer diameter of the outer ring.
  • overheating and discoloration.
