Characteristics Of Flexible Bearing

Harmonic drive transmission consists of three basic components:

• Wave generator, flexible wheel, rigid wheel and flexible bearings. The flexible bearing is the core component. The transmission meets the performance requirements of high reduction ratio through the elastic deformation of the bearing.
• During the operation of the flexible bearings, the inner ring is installed on the oval rigid wheel, which bears the cyclic stress load during the operation, and the outer ring is installed on the flexible wheel. During the operation,
• it changes continuously with the elastic deformation of the flexible ina bearing wheel, which not only bears the cyclic stress load, but also bears the alternating stress load.
• These characteristics put forward high requirements for the design and manufacture of bearing inner ring, outer ring and cage. Only a few countries such as Japan and the United States can produce them abroad.
• The design and manufacturing level of flexible bearing for harmonic drive transmission has fully reached the international advanced level. The design of flexible bearings has formed a complete theoretical system, the product manufacturing process is becoming more and more perfect and mature, and the product quality is becoming more and more stable.
